The School. Haidian Foreign Language Academy is a coeducational independent boarding school. Founded in 1999, the Academy has established three campuses in China (Beijing, Jingbei, and Hainan) and seven learning centers worldwide including three in the UK, three in the US, and one in Australia. As the Academy’s first and main campus, the Beijing Campus consistently ranks among the leading schools in China for teaching quality and student academic achievement.

Beijing Haidian Foreign Language Shi Yan School was established with 119 students.
2005 Across the Pacific
Michigan Campus in the USA was established.
2013 An international outlook
Beijing Haidian International School was established.
2019 A new chapter in Jingbei
Jingbei Campus was established.
The meaning behind our name
“Foreign Language” embodies the tenet of internationalized schooling oriented to the world; “Shi Yan” is an open posture that expresses the determination of the school to strive to be a pioneer in China’s private basic education field.
